PPS — Polyphenylenesulfide

PPS thermoplastic belongs to the group of high temperature plastics and combines good long and short term thermal stability. It is also an excellent choice when it comes to a wide range of chemical resistance in harsh environments.
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is an polymer consisting of aromatic rings linked by sulfides and resist chemical and thermal attack. Polyphenylene sulfide is an engineering plastic, commonly used today as a high-performance thermoplastic. PPS can be moulded, extruded, or machined to tight tolerances. In its pure solid form, it may be opaque white to light tan in colour. Maximum service temperature is 218 C. PPS is resistant against any solvent at temperatures below approximately 200 C.
