TPI — Thermoplastic Polyimide

Thermoplastic Polyimide (TPI) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic. TPI is known for its high temperature stiffness with high Tg (245°C), excellent sliding properties, superior dimensional stability, resistance to radiation, exceptional creep resistance, excellent chemical resistance, and low outgassing even at higher temperatures.

Application

TPI is designed for applications involving high temperatures, friction, and harsh conditions such as radiation.

General: Pipe fittings, fibers, steel wire sheaths, films, semiconductor manufacturing equipment components

Electronic industry: Office automation equipment components (insulation sleeves, gears), electrical and electronic components (sockets, connectors)

Automotive industry: ATF parts (sealing rings, bushings, etc.), industrial equipment parts (sealing parts, etc.), turbocharger abradable seals, pistons in small combustion engines

Aircraft industry: bearings of aircraft engines, etc.
